Yes. East of SH 146 in Harris County, plus Galveston, Brazoria and Chambers counties, TDI windstorm rules apply. The WPI-8 certificate depends on work an inspector actually saw, so we schedule those visits into the build. On commercial jobs a third-party inspector also checks moment welds and high-strength bolting.

Yes, and that is the cleanest way to run a steel job. Anchor bolts are set with templates cut from the steel drawings, so base plates land where they belong.
