Precast Concrete Wheel Stops
Standard 6-foot precast bumpers, roughly 250 to 300 pounds each, delivered and doweled to your asphalt or concrete lot for a fast, clean install.
Commercial & Residential Concrete
Precast and poured concrete wheel stops for Houston parking lots. Doweled with rebar, set to your stall layout and placed to pass an accessible-parking inspection.

Service Overview
A loose or missing wheel stop is a real liability on a busy commercial lot. Without a solid bumper at the head of each stall, cars roll over the stripe into storefront glass. Tires climb the sidewalk and block the door. A cracked stop turns into a trip hazard and a claim. Houston heat, UV and about 52 inches of rain a year also cook cheap rubber and plastic stops until they fade and pull their anchors. Jimenes Construction sets precast and poured concrete wheel stops that hold, doweled to the pavement with steel rebar pins and placed to your stall plan. Our own crew has laid out and anchored Houston lots for 23 years, engineered for our clay, our rain and the traffic loads a parking lot takes.
Each stop is core-drilled and pinned with steel that holds through a Houston summer. Our own crew lays out the lot, drills, sets and anchors every stop, so there is no hand-off to a striping sub who guesses where they go. We know how Houston clay and rain treat a fastener left half-set, and we set them to stay.
Wheel stops rarely travel alone. They tie into your parking lot and commercial paving, your curbs and gutters, and the ADA walkways that have to stay clear of a parked bumper. Get the placement right and the accessible stalls pass, the walks stay open, and the walls stay off the body shop.
Coverage
Precast or poured, one stall or a thousand. We lay out, set and anchor all six in house.
Standard 6-foot precast bumpers, roughly 250 to 300 pounds each, delivered and doweled to your asphalt or concrete lot for a fast, clean install.
Cast on site and tied into the slab, so the stop and the pavement move as one piece. A good fit next to a fresh concrete pour or a dock apron.
Wheel stops placed so a parked bumper stays out of the access aisle and off the route, sized and set to pass a Texas accessible-parking inspection.
Reinforced stops and curb bumpers for loading docks, truck stalls and industrial yards along the Ship Channel and Grand Parkway corridors.
Wheel stops set to keep bumpers off storefront glass, brick, tilt-wall panels and structural columns in tight garages and strip centers.
Broken, sun-rotted or loose stops pulled and replaced, and pulled-out anchors re-drilled and re-pinned so the stop stops moving.
Our Process
Five steps, the same on a ten-stall storefront and on a big-box lot. Call (832) 576-3278 to start at step one.
We walk the lot, count stalls and accessible spaces, check pavement type and condition, and mark where every stop and access aisle lands.
A quote by the piece: precast or poured, stop count, anchor spec, ADA stalls, and any striping we coordinate. No lump-sum guesswork.
We chalk each stall and set the offset off the curb, wall or head of stall. Bumpers clear the walk and the accessible route stays open.
Stops placed, pavement core-drilled, and steel rebar dowels driven and epoxied. Every stop ends up pinned to the lot.
We verify accessible placement, confirm the stripes and signs line up, and hand off a lot that is ready for inspection and traffic.
Timeline
Real ranges from our own job records, from mobilization to the final walk.

Engineering & Compliance
A wheel stop is only as good as its anchor and its placement. We get both right on purpose.
Why Jimenes
Loose wheel stops are a hand-off problem. Our own crew lays out, drills and pins every stop with steel, so none of them wander into the drive lane.
A stop two feet off can fail an accessible stall. We set them so the parked bumper clears the aisle and the route, the first time.
Rain, heat and UV cook cheap rubber and plastic stops. Concrete holds, and we anchor it for lots that flood and bake all summer.
Stop count, precast or poured, anchors and any striping each get their own line. You see the number before we drill, and change orders are signed first.
Credentials
Texas does not license concrete contractors, so we send the insurance certificate with every proposal. Here is what a concrete contractor in Houston can actually show you.
Where We Work
Headquartered in Houston and setting concrete wheel stops across the Greater Houston area, from inside the 610 Loop out past the Grand Parkway. If you searched for a wheel stop installer near me and landed here, this is the radius we cover. We can be on site the same week.
Good Questions
Still not sure? Call and talk to the person who will run your lot.
Talk to a BuilderThere is no flat rate, because a ten-stall storefront and a big-box lot price two different ways. The wheel stop cost moves with the count, whether the stop is precast or poured, the anchor detail, and the pavement you are drilling into. Precast stops installed usually land in a set price per stop, and the number drops as the count goes up. We do not quote a wheel stop price on the phone. Ask for the free written estimate, where each item gets its own line. If you are also repaving, we price it with your parking lot and commercial paving work.
We anchor them to the pavement with steel dowels. Each stop is core-drilled and pinned with rebar dowels, usually two per stop, set in epoxy or with wedge anchors sized to the slab or asphalt. That is the difference between a stop that holds for years and one that slides into the drive lane. Loose and broken stops are the most common repair we get called for, and we re-drill and re-pin them so they stop moving.
Placement is the whole job on an accessible stall. The stop has to sit so a parked bumper, which can overhang about 60 inches, stays out of the access aisle and off the walk. The access aisle stays at least 60 inches wide, and the accessible route past a parked car keeps a clear 36 inches. We set stops to the 2012 Texas Accessibility Standards and the 2010 ADA Standards, then check the layout before we drill. This ties into your ADA walkways, so the whole path from stall to door stays open.
Both work, and the lot decides. Precast stops are fast: they show up cured, get doweled, and the lot reopens the same day. Poured-in-place stops are cast on site and tie into the slab, so the stop and the pavement move together. Poured makes sense next to a fresh concrete pour or a dock apron. For most Houston parking lots, precast is the quick, clean answer. Tell us the lot and we will tell you which one fits.
For a permanent lot, yes. Houston heat, UV and just under 52 inches of rain a year cook rubber and plastic stops. They fade, crack and pull their anchors. Concrete holds up, keeps its shape, and takes a doweled steel anchor that stays put. Rubber has a place for temporary or indoor use, but on an outdoor commercial lot, a doweled concrete stop lasts longer and looks better.
Yes. We pull cracked, sun-rotted or loose stops, re-drill the anchors, and set new ones on the same trip. Since we self-perform, we can also handle the curbs and gutters and the sidewalks and walkways around your lot in the same mobilization. One crew, one schedule, one number to call at (832) 576-3278.
